Lindsey has designed this great snood pattern and the wonderful thing about knitting a snood is that, unlike when knitting a jumper or cardi, your tension doesn’t matter! The size of needle is not that important either, in fact, as long as you knit it as wide as you want it and as long as you want it, you can pretty much make it up as you go along…..including the design you knit it in!
So, what we have for you is a rough guide to snood knitting, I prefer to knit mine in the round with a circular needle (I hate sewing up knitting!) but I have given instructions for both circular & straight needle snoods. I have worked on chunky wool, but, as long as you remember to alter the size of your needles slightly, there is no reason why you shouldn’t knit in Aran or Double Double (2 strands of dk).
We are charging just 50p for this pattern and 100% of that is going to Breast Cancer Now!
